Wood is my passion!

I am Mike Necessary and we are Midway sawdust… For as long as I can remember, every time I’ve seen a piece of wood, my mind begins to craft it:

  • Where has it been?
  • What type of wood is it?
  • What’s hidden below that “ugly skin?”
  • What could we make of it to reveal its beauty and further its legacy?

As a third generation woodworker, Midway Sawdust’s origins stem from my retirement after a 35-year career in Engineering and Manufacturing. With lots of “juice” left in the tank, my goal is to take this passion and serve. Be it new wood or old, your design or mine, a “one off” piece or ongoing production, Jennifer, the MWSD team and I can’t wait to see what comes from the sawdust generated in the process….
